My buddy, DutchBitch, posted what I think might be the Dutch equivelent to the song, Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer. You should totally go over there and check out the story of Flappie, especially if you are my dad (for that weird Dutch humor, not because he is a vreselijke man). I love when she posts Dutch videos, because many times I can understand what is being said. However, if you are vegetarian or have a weak stomach, you may want to pass on this link. (She even has a translation if you need it!)
Speaking of Christmas music, my buddy Mr. Fab also has some thoughts on the matter. Personally, it seems like stores play it a little too soon for my taste. And then, they force feed the Christmas music down your throat. Recycled variations of the same song, only crappier. Actually, Christmas music should be researched. I mean, think about it. There people are, standing in lines for the latest and greatest of gadgets. So, you are in line, and you get your hands on a Wii. And it is the last Wii. People look at you with envy. Eventually, there is fist fights and eye-clawing to try and pry that last Wii out of your hands. Everyone wants to get that perfect gift! All the while, over the speakers, you are hearing songs about peace on earth and good will towards men.
We should try playing this music in July and see if the incidents of violence increase.
Isn’t July violent enough now?
LOL. You made me laugh with coffee. Have an awesome vacation Lynda!
Let me know what your dad thinks!!! And Fab. Is there such a thing as “violent enough”?
All the while, over the speakers, you are hearing songs about peace on earth and good will towards men.
ROFLMAO! I never thought of it like that.
My favorite is hearing songs talking about good little boys and girls having fun at Christmas while children are screaming all around me about what the want NOW!
